Hand-thrown Shigaraki porcelain bowl by Japanese ceramicist Taira Kuroki. Soft lines add texture and an earthy, natural feel. Just the right size for yoghurt, ice cream, or rice.

Bowls are food safe.

About the Maker

Taira Kuroki is a ceramic artist from Kyoto, Japan. He studied sculpture at Kyoto Douda High School of Arts and Craft and went on to study three-dimensional environmental molding at Nara College of Arts. Following that he completed post graduate work at Kyoto Ceramic High Technology Institute, studying under Takushi Haraguchi. In 2006, Taira started to produce his own range of ceramic wares.
