Pigeon Toe by Tracey George Posted on July 02, '13

After learning how to throw in fourth grade, Pigeon Toe owner and designer Lisa Jones spent a lifetime avoiding pottery. From graphic design to marketing to video installation, Lisa steered clear of a life in craft until her longing to work with her hands took her full-circle, back to her days as a 9-year-old ceramicist.

With an aversion to fast-paced and mass-produced goods, Lisa formed Pigeon Toe with a vision to design uniquely beautiful objects that incorporate a touch of history in every piece.

Founded in 2009, the Pigeon Toe studio is located in the heart of charming Industrial North Portland, Oregon. Featuring artisan objects that transcend trends, each piece is an attempt to redefine a new age of homegrown, grassroots aesthetics.

Driven by an aversion to the widespread disposable mentality, Lisa and her team of local Portland artisans craft timeless, thoughtful pieces to be cherished and passed down from one generation to the next.
