St. Eloy by Tracey George Posted on April 11, '16 St. Eloy is a collection of jewelry and ceramics designed by artist Emily Counts. Inspired by geological formations, medieval craftsmanship, and mid-century modernism this collection provides objects that embody both the past and the future. St. Eloy pieces are made in enduring elemental materials such as bronze, stoneware and porcelain. There is an aim with each hand made object to create a balance between geometric and organic forms and patterns. Emily Counts is an artist and designer living in Portland, OR. She has a background in sculpture and painting with a BFA from the California College of the Arts. Her current art practice focuses on ceramic sculpture and experimentation with stacked and connected objects.
